Instructor: Caroline Campion

Skill Level: Beginner

Ages: 14+

Total Class Hours: 4

Description:  Do you have a pile of clothes sitting in a mend or donate pile? Let’s give them a second life! Materials will be provided to sew up tears, patch holes, dye something stained, fix buttons, or rework how something fits or looks!

We will have two sewing machines available for those who would like to try their hand at machine sewing. Students will choose from an assortment of fabrics, patches, buttons, ribbons, elastic, and other notions that may come in handy. This is a great day to learn the basics of a sewing machine, get creative with visible mending, and add personal touches to your closet!

Everyone will receive a sewing kit and their new upcycled masterpieces to take home; all you need to bring are clothing items that need a revamp! (Knitted and crocheted items or heavy-duty materials like leather are discouraged- mending supplies will be best suited for easy-to-sew fabrics.)

Supplies:  All supplies are provided. You only need to bring your imagination and the clothes you'd like to upcycle!
