Description: Have you heard? The Great Elf Shortage of 2026 is upon us…. And Santa needs our help! Come learn how to make your very own elf with felt, buttons, pom-poms, and Christmas magic. This class is intended for children accompanied by a parent to help with tools and materials like scissors, wire, and hot glue guns.

Students will choose from a variety of colorful fabrics (precut and sewn into an elf shape) and stuff them with polyfill and a wire armature. We will then choose from an assortment of embellishments provided by the instructor to create each elf's face, outfit, hair, and unique personality. 

This class will be instructed by Tinsel, an experienced elf appointed by Santa, who wants to make sure Greenville meets our elf quota this year!

Supplies: All supplies are provided. Your imagination and holiday spirit are the only things you need to bring!

Description: Learn to create effective paintings using photographic reference. This instruction will help you learn to avoid common issues and develop your ideas while learning painting principles that apply to all subjects and mediums. Come to class ready to paint from your own reference material. Students bring their own supplies to paint in their chosen medium. The instructor works personally with each student in this self-directed class for intermediate and advanced levels. Students are welcome to sign up for as many classes as they wish!

Description: Our perception of the visual world is dependent on light. In order to learn to paint life convincingly, one must learn how to translate into paint the light that falls upon the things we see. This workshop will focus on painting directly from life and realizing the visual effect early in the painting process, avoiding preliminary drawing. This keeps interest and energy throughout the process and conveys a sense of life and joy in the painting. Students will explore color, value, paint quality, edges, and brushstrokes in oil paint. Each morning, there will be a demonstration, and students will design their still-life setups using the provided objects, fruit, and flowers. Students may bring their own objects if they wish.  This class is appropriate for intermediate to advanced levels.

Description: Learn how to create simple to complex books from a single sheet of paper. Using Origami folding techniques, you will make the “Pants” book, Modular book, “W” book, and the Exploding Book.

These are fully functioning, bound books with separate covers and your own creative embellishments. Techniques are very simple but loads of fun! No previous Origami experience necessary.

Description: Life can feel busy and overstimulating, and sometimes it helps to slow down with something simple and repetitive. In this process-based watercolor class, students will explore painting stone shapes as a way to relax, focus, and reconnect with the creative process.

Using a limited color palette, we’ll experiment with paint consistency, water control, and soft color blending. Students will create a small painting of stones, allowing colors to flow and interact naturally on the page.

This class is open to all skill levels and focuses on exploration rather than creating a perfect finished piece. With gentle guidance and plenty of space to experiment, students are encouraged to follow their curiosity and notice what feels calming and enjoyable. 

Participants will leave with a small 4” x 6” painting on 140 lb watercolor paper, created with professional-quality paints, along with a better understanding of watercolor and a simple practice they can return to anytime.

Description: We will cover the basics of eco printing using plant matter & powders that produce natural dyes. Step by step, we will cover how to prepare cellulose- and protein-based fibers (cotton and silk) for best color retention. Each student will create and take home their own design on pieces of fabric using materials provided by the instructor. This class is for beginners in dyeing with natural materials who want to experiment with the variety of colors that plants can yield. Many of the materials we will use are already in your kitchen or garden!

Description: Learn the basic 2D needle felting technique & create a Red Cardinal Bird Wool Painting within a 5” wooden hoop. Discover how a felting needle can replace a paintbrush to create a decorative work of art. Then add a holiday wreath decoration to the hoop. All basic felting materials and supplies are included.
